PaesanosItalianMarket

Paesano’s Italian Market in Cape Coral Florida is a great Italian market that transports you to Italy. As their site says, come enjoy a touch of the old country in Paradise, right here in Cape Coral.  Paesano’s has been in Cape Coral for 30 years.  I’ve lived here for 8 years, yet I just recently discovered it.  If this hidden gem was a surprise to me, I wonder how many other local residents have yet to visit as well.

It is located at 862 Lafayette Street.  I had seen ad’s in fliers but it wasn’t until I heard about it through word of mouth that I was finally moved to visit.  Boy was I missing out!  It’s an experience.  We went on a Saturday around 2pm and the outside market was bustling.  The outside of the building is colorful and inviting.  As soon as we parked, and stepped out into the lot, we automatically felt this was special.  You hear Italian music, the outside fruit and vegetable stands remind you of what you’d picture Italian markets to really look like.  When you step inside the building, it’s looks like something from a movie.  There is clothes hanging from a line, the colors, the products.  There is a special aura that makes a visit, a fun experience.  The aisle’s have street signs naming them.  The attention to detail adds to the feeling this place gives you.

If you’re looking for specialty items, fresh cut meats or homemade foods, if it’s Italian, you’ll find it here.  Ecstatic that they had fresh t-bone steaks, I also picked up some fresh vegetables and new products to try as well.  If you haven’t visited Paesano’s I highly recommend you take a visit.

Imported wines, cheeses and fresh produce from local growers.  Sausages galore, packaged and fresh meats.  Not only is it a unique shopping experience, but the food product is amazing.  There is a cafe on the side of the market, that was bustling with chatter and while we didn’t get to eat there this time, we’ll be sure to try their food soon.  I’ve since taken my mom to check out the cute market.  Have you visited Paesano’s?  What’s your favorite item?  Check out their site at: http://www.paesanositalianmarket.com
