My family and I attended the Niche Parent Conference 2014 in Orlando at Disney’s Coronado Resort.  I’m going to tell you what I love about this conference.

First, Coronado Spring Resorts has lovely grounds.  It is huge and would be paradise for those that like to walk/jog/run.  However, it may be too big for others, daunting in size.  They have 3 restaurants on site and pricing varies so you don’t feel forced to eat the same thing every day.  They have huge conference areas and a couple different pools as well.  The most popular pool is the one with the Mayan Pyramid.  It’s gorgeous and is next to a cute kid park where kids can let their imagination run wild in a slide that looks like it leads to a hidden temple, or inside a big head filled with sand and columns that take you back in time.  The room we had was in the Casitas area.  It is the closest to the conference area and the room felt small in comparison to other Orlando hotels we’ve stayed in.  It was a tight squeeze with four of us and suitcases, etc.

Now for the conference, the sessions are not too large that you feel lost.  It is easier to connect with other bloggers and social media influencers.  Speakers are talking about their very personal experiences and amazing stories that inspire and teach. What I loved most about this conference is that it truly is catered to families.  This is so cool because your kids, husband, wife, partner, get to experience a part of your world, if you choose to bring them.  They see other people that excel at what you dream of doing full time.  The takeaways are inspiring and moving and you feel like you can conquer the world.

The Niche Parent conference has exceeded my expectations with all of the extra activities they set up for us.  In addition to the informative courses  that made you anxious and excited, they also planned super fun family events that knocked our socks off.  We had a session with Painting With a Twist.  Even if you’ve never painted before, this makes you feel like Picasso.  My 5 year old enjoyed it so much and has hung the masterpiece in her bedroom.  With locations all over the United States, you will love a session with them.  Find one near you and book a fun evening now.

Up next was the Blue Man Group at Universal Studios.  Oh yes they did!   That show was absolutely amazing!  Not what I was expecting.  I honestly felt, Eh, when I hear we’d be seeing it.  But once it started, it was like woah!  What do I mean?  I mean that it was like a concert, educational session, movie, dance party, and candid camera session all in one!  It rocked and I would see it again and urge you to go see it as soon as possible!  It’s a must see!  And it was so much fun for our 5 and 7 year old!

And as if personal safari and lovely dinner at Disney’s Animal Kingdom wasn’t enough they even managed to have us experience Seaworld’s Spookatacular Event.  This too took me by surprise.  Many of us, yes including me, kept raving about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney.  We weren’t able to go this year and I wasn’t sure if Seaworld’s event would match up.  It totally did.  It’s a different experience, but oh so cute, fun and fabulous.  Kids dress up and get to go trick or treating.  There were bubbles everywhere in certain areas so you feel like you’re in a magical place.  The costumes and cast were totally into their roles and interacted with the kids on a very personal level.  We loved it!

I can’t wait to see what Niche Parent has up their sleeve next year . I’m sure it will be amazing.
