IMG_20160422_202806Charity Kings Inc. a non-profit organization, located in Asbury Park NJ is having their 3rd annual Wish Upon a Prom on May 12, 2016.  Last year they helped 1,200 + girls & boys from Monmouth County and various areas of NJ with a special event for students that are in need of a dress, tuxedos, shoes, accessories, makeup, gift bags and much more.  That’s a lot of students!

Sherrice Lyles started this program three years ago as she saw a need and want for prom items but they were too expensive for some families. Many of us have experienced a time where something was out of reach.  With this program, kids who would not have had the opportunity to attend an event, can.  They are looking for new and gently used items.  If you’re able to donate clothing items for either male or female or if you prefer to send a monetary contribution you can mail it to 1209 Washington Ave., Asbury Park, NJ 07712.

Students must call to register and have to attend the event with an adult. Join Wish Upon A Prom for their 3rd Annual Prom Dress Giveaway on Thursday May 12th 2016, 6:00PM – 9:30PM at VFW 701 Lake Avenue, Asbury Park, New Jersey 07712.

The Wish upon a prom event is open to any middle or high school student in need of a dress whether for prom, home coming, dances, graduation, etc.  If you can donate, please do or if you know someone that can benefit from this great program, share this information.  Everyone deserves a chance to have great memories about their dances from those fun school years. If you have clothing in your closet that doesn’t fit or you know someone else can benefit from, think about sharing that item with Charity Kings Inc.  See contact info on flier.  You can contact Sherrice Lyles for more information at sherrice.lyles@gmail.com
