Dunkin’ Donuts South - Southwest Florida Scholarship Program

Did you hear that Dunkin Donuts is awarding 15 local high school students with a $1,000 scholarship?  Applications will be accepted now through April 29, 2016.

Dunkin’ Donuts has announced applications for its 2016 Dunkin’ Donuts South / Southwest Florida Scholarship Program are now available online at http://sms.scholarshipamerica.org/ddonuts-fl/. For 2016, Dunkin’ Donuts has expanded the program to award $1,000 scholarships to 15 eligible students across the Palm Beach Treasure Coast, Greater Miami-Fort Lauderdale and Greater Ft. Myers-Naples areas.

“Since 2014, Dunkin’ Donuts South / Southwest Florida Scholarship Program has awarded $5,000 to deserving students across the region to help offset the cost of continuing their education after high school,” said Melissa Goulette, Field Marketing Manager, Dunkin’ Brands, Inc. “We’re excited to grow the program this year and help make an even greater impact in our local communities across the state of Florida.”

Applicants must be high school seniors currently attending school in one of the following counties in South / Southwest Florida:

Indian River                Okeechobee              St. Lucie                   Martin

Palm Beach                 Broward                    Miami-Dade              Monroe

Collier                         Glades                       Lee                           Hendry

Charlotte                     DeSoto

Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) and plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire 2016-2017 school year. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate financial need.

The applications are available in both English and Spanish.  The three page form has a section to be completed by a high school counselor, advisor or instructor and an official school transcript is required.  Good luck to all of the applicants.  Your mail must be postmarked by April 29, 2016. For more information about the 2016 Dunkin’ Donuts South / Southwest Florida Scholarship Program and to submit an application, please visit http://sms.scholarshipamerica.org/ddonuts-fl/.
