Applebee’s® has always been one of my favorite places to dine and unwind at.  Their welcoming atmosphere invites you in and their menu offers an affordable variety of choices to enjoy.  I was excited to hear that Applebee’s® has added American-made, wood-fired grills to nearly 2,000 US locations and now offer USDA Choice Top Sirloin Steaks and Bone-in Pork Chops.  Applebee’s® invited us to try their new menu of grilled dishes full of American oak aroma.  The flavor and freshness they’ve added to their menu by grilling with wood fire is superb. We were genuinely impressed. My family and I were excited to try the new juicy meals.  I ordered the 12 oz top sirloin and my husband the Bone-In Pork Chop.  These new items are hand-cut by trained in-house meat cutters who look for quality and optimal thickness.  The fresh meats are then cooked to perfection on the new Wood Fired Grills.

After trying the succulent pork chop and tender steak, I’m telling you, you guys should run, not walk to Applebee’s®. The pork chop came paired with mashed sweet potatoes topped with maple pecans and grilled green beans in garlic.  These had to be the most delicious mashed sweet potatoes we’ve ever tried.  The green beans are a perfect match with this dish and made the meal complete.

My sirloin came with grilled zucchini and grilled red peppers, my mouth is watering now just thinking about it.  The baked potato was fresh, and was perfect with this fulfilling meal.

Also available on Applebee’s® revamped menu’s are:

  • 8 oz. and 6 oz. Hand-cut USDA Choice Top Sirloin Steaks
  • Hand-cut Bone-in Pork Chops with Honey Apple Chutney
  • Cedar-grilled Salmon with Maple Mustard Glaze
  • Grilled chicken breast

You’ll also find that meats and vegetables cooked on the new Wood Fired Grills will be featured in many of your other favorite items from salads to appetizers.  One appetizer you’ll find it in is the Steak Quesadillas.

If you haven’t been to an Applebee’s® lately, trust that this is the time to re-visit. You’ll become a frequent customer enjoying your dining experience.  Besides the usual lively bar with hand-crafted drinks you’ll have craveable simple American food full of vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients to choose from.

Stop on in the restaurant chain and you’ll be greeted by wood corrals stacked with split oak logs at the entrance as you smell the mouth-watering aroma of American Oak smoldering in the kitchen while you take your seats.
